I promised I'd tell you when you'd see beloved Honolulu resident Will Henderson on television on PBS Hawaii: Tomorrow! And you can watch the program online anytime afterward. http://www.pbshawaii.org/ourproductions
His story is inspiring, especially for anyone who's discouraged about having bad breaks in life.
Will grew up in poverty and isolation in South Dakota. He didn't speak until age 3 and spent much of his young adult life taking remedial education classes.
In LONG STORY SHORT Will Henderson: Humble Beginnings (Tues., Nov. 12, 2013, 7:30 pm), the retired President and CEO of The Queen's Medical Center talks about the power of determination, lifelong learning, and the kindness of strangers who become friends. At 92, Will remains fit and active.
Next week, on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, Will will be featured in another LONG STORY SHORT conversation. We're calling that episode Lifelong Lessons.
