Tonight's guest on LONG STORY SHORT (Tues., July 10, 2012, 7:30 pm) runs the City Ocean Safety Division, Ralph Goto. A onetime swimming pool lifeguard at the "Y," he's in charge of lifeguards around Oahu, including those at dangerous shorelines. Ralph is best known for his consummate skills on dry land—working in the system to gather and administer resources to support ocean safety. Over three decades, he has been instrumental in upgrading the profession of lifeguard and in making positive changes that protect beachgoers.
