We're shooting part of our weekly show, Long Story Short, in my office. How do I protect my conference table from getting scratched by TV equipment? Our crew improvised the answer. Check out the legs of a tripod resting on my drink coasters!
The tripod is holding a microphone. I know it looks messy, but that's frequently the case on the other side of a camera lens. Taping conditions are especially cramped. We're using my office for on-camera host spots because our nice big TV studio is out of commission for fire-damage repair, and a smaller TV studio which the University of Hawaii has been generous in letting us borrow is not available today.
